

She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Vincenzo Zambito, and her parents, Paolo Zambito and Antonia Campo Zambito.
She is survived by her sons Leonardo (Gwen), Paolo (Sharon), and Joe (Jan) Zambito; sister Anna Marchese; brother Joseph (Grace) Zambito; grandchildren Rachel Zambito (Hess) Crockett, Lauren Zambito, Jill Zambito, Vincent Zambito, Daniel Zambito (Chris) -Hanes, Jason Zambito, Joseph (Mariam) Bourque, Alexa Zambito (Paul) Moreno, and Taylor (LeAnne) Zambito; also great-grandchildren Heslin Crocket, Leo Crockett, Sage Crockett, Elias Zambito, Sofia Bourque, and Serafina Bourque.
Gina was a great Italian cook, an amazing seamstress, and a successful businesswoman. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She appreciated the beauty in life, especially birds and flowers, and lived her life in accordance with her strong Christian faith. She especially loved spending time with her family and savored every moment with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation and funeral service on Friday, November 17, 2023 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124. The visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the service time at 2:00 p.m. The interment will follow on the same grounds in Metairie Cemetery.
