Gloria M. Fayard

November 11, 1922June 2, 2021

Gloria M. Fayard was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on November 11, 1922, and left us on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. She was 98 years old. Glo was predeceased by her one and only love, husband Albert “Al” T. Fayard, her daughter, Elizabeth F. Hebert, her son, Albert C. Fayard, her parents, Charles J. Bosco and Rose Bosco, her grandmother, Clemence Hidou Matranga, and her best friend and much loved son-in-law, Frank E. Sanford.

She is survived by her daughter, Rose F. Sanford, son-in-law, Ackel Hebert, grandsons, Matt and Gabe Hebert, step-grandchildren, Frank Sanford, Jr., Linda Verdin, Cindy Sanford, and Christine Moran. She will be sorely missed by her best friends, Barry M. Smith, Arthur Parker, the Meyer family, Mack, and the lovely and caring neighbors who enjoyed visiting with her.

Glo worked for many years at Mossy Motors until retirement. Glo was always upbeat and positive, and loved laughing and talking with everyone she met. She loved all creatures great and small, especially her two cat babies who slept with her.

She was devoted to her Catholic faith, and prayed daily for everyone everywhere. God and St. Anthony will welcome her, and she will be reunited with her loved ones for all eternity.

Prayers and Masses will be much appreciated. There will be no service.

Hey my dear friend Rose, I was so sorry to hear that your Mom had passed away. You know she's up there in heaven with Frank, causing all kinds of trouble. I will keep her and you of course in my prayers. You were so blessed to have her for so many years. I miss my Mom every day, but all Moms are always looking down on us and keeping us safe. Love you my sweet friend. Just as an afterthought, give Conrad a kiss for me. Ros

My deepest sympathies. I remember Gloria very well. My late husband worked at Mossy for many years—Chappie. I remember how good natured she was putting up with all the jokes played by the crazy guys that worked there. I know you will miss her terribly. You are in my prayers

Haven't seen Mrs .Gloria in a long time, but I have fond memories of her and her family. I grew up two doors away and spent many a day on her front porch. She was always kind to all of us and made us feel welcome. She was one of the nicest ladies you could have met.

Rose Ann I am so sorry for your loss. I will keep you and all of your family in my prayers.
