Harry Patrick Kelley

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lelia B. and Richard J. Kelley, Sr., siblings, Patricia Bruhn, Jacqueline Baudine, Richard Kelley, Jr., Thomas Kelley, and Donald Kelley, Sr., and his granddaughter, Brandy Ann Stephens.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marie Davis Kelley; his sister, Barbara Kelley Velesquez, children, Donna Kelley Stephens (Robert Fresina), Erin Kelley Laurent (Deacon Julius), Amy Kelley O’Donnell (Walter), Craig Patrick Kelley, and Brett Michael Kelley. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Patrick Stephens (Lacy), Rosa Stephens Walton (Darnell), Katie Stephens Martinez (Samuel), Sarah Laurent Sanders (Jeffrey), Claire Laurent, and Emily Laurent, his cherished great-grandchildren, Campbell Walton, Monroe Sanders, Samuel Martinez, Sophie Stephens, Logan Sanders, and Benicio Martinez, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Harry graduated from John McDonogh Senior High School, served in the Navy and then took some college courses in banking. He retired from Whitney Bank as a bank teller and worked there for over 30 years. He was a member of the American Legion and loved to do woodworking in his spare time for friends and family.

The family would like to give special thanks to Denise Rainey, Chateau Living Center, and St. Catherine’s Hospice for the care and comfort they gave him.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA. Visitation will be held from 11 am - 1 pm with a service to begin at 1 pm.
