Jeanne Stella (Heidi) Nelson Schwab, born on March 26, 1959, passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at the age of 68. She was a graduate of St. Matthias School and St. Mary’s Dominican High School. Heidi was an accomplished pianist and a court reporter in civil district court and a freelance reporter until she retired. She was the daughter of the late Jack and Marie Nelson. Heidi is survived by her two sons, John Schwab and Brian Galuszka, her three sisters Missy Hotard (Sidney), Cesyle Nelson (Fay) and Stephanie Nelson, her nieces, Jackie Havnen and Julie Chalmers and her beloved granddaughter Abigail Schwab. She is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces, great nephews, and dear friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend services. Visitation will be held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home on Monday, July 16, 2018 from 11:00-12:00pm followed by Mass at 12:00pm.
