Henry is survived by his mother, Barbara Schoen Gowland; his beloved wife of 39 years, Kristi Constantine Exsterstein; his two sons, Eric Exsterstein (Brandy) and Cody Exsterstein (Bailey); his sister, Julie Exsterstein - Cloutier; his two brothers, Steve Exsterstein (Shelley) and Robert Exsterstein (Terry); and his six grandchildren, Easton Exsterstein, Ella Exsterstein, Beckett Exsterstein, Alysia DiMaggio, Kyleigh Ford, and Braelynn Ford. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Joseph Exsterstein, Sr.
Henry was born in New Orleans on March 4, 1959. He graduated from Bonnabel High School (class of 1978) and attended Nicholls State University.
Henry worked as a quality control inspector in the oil field with Tenaris (formerly known as Hydril Company) for 33 years. For the last 10 years he worked as a repair specialist with Safelite, and retired just a few months ago.
He enjoyed sports, playing golf, baseball, and softball. He was also an avid fan of the LSU Tigers, and most of all, he loved spending time with his grandkids.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, November 6, 2026 beginning at 10:30AM, at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 4337 Sal Lentini Pkwy. in Kenner. Following the visitation, a memorial Mass will commence at 11:30AM. A private interment will take place at a later date.
