

Henry Emile Fransen – On August 14, 2014 Passed away peacefully at his home at the age of 89. He was the loving husband of Millie Dameron Haar Fransen and the late Joyce Ann Esposito Fransen. Father of Henry V. Fransen (wife) Karen, Pamela Fransen Delaney (husband) Pat and Stephen Fransen (wife) Gayle. Grandfather to: Brandy Fransen, Barry Fransen(wife) Nicole, Ryan Delaney, Rhett Delaney (wife) Brooke, Remy Fransen Symons (husband) Ben and Tyler Fransen. Great Grandfather to: Kellan Fransen and Gabriel Fransen. Henry is also survived by: Kathy Haar, Michael Haar, (son) Cole Haar, Robert Haar Sr, (wife) Tammi (sons) Robbie and Ryan Haar. And Daniel Haar IV son of the late Daniel Haar. Henry was the youngest child of seven born to Remy Fransen of Lede, Belgium and Rosa Amelia Gutierrez of Leon, Nicaragua. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings; Adolph, Albert, Rene, Vondel, Raphael and his sister Brunnie. Mr. Fransen spent 63 years between his adopted city of San Pedro Sula, Honduras and his hometown of New Orleans. Building on a career in the Super Market business that continues to this day. His kind and loving nature and infectious personality inspired many friends and business associates over the years. Always hard-working and dedicated to his family, he will be sorely missed by all who had the blessing of knowing him in life. Mr. Fransen was an avid lover of dancing and never missed a moment to enjoy dancing anytime he could get on the dance floor. He also collected postage stamps his entire life and amassed an incredible collection of beautifully detailed and cataloged philatelic stamps from various countries. Most notably stamps from Central America and the United States. He was an active member of the Jesuit High School and Loyola University Alumni Association. The Family would like to extend a special thanks to Kathy Haar and Franny McKenzie for the loving care and support that was given to Mr. Fransen. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA. 70124 at 2:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 12:00 Noon.
