Henry Joseph Jacques, III passed away on Monday, January 18, 2016, at the age of 65. Henry is survived by his beloved wife Shirley Henderson Jacques of 20 years; daughters Lauren Jacques and Melissa Poché Evans (Derek); sons Matthew Jacques (Hope) and Benjamin Poché (Ashley); mother Frances St. Lucia Jacques; grandchildren Joseph and Jude Jacques, and Clayton, Molly, Maggie, Marley and Mallory Poché; and sister Melinda J. Murray (Daniel). He is preceded in death by his father Henry Joseph Jacques, Jr. For 20 years Henry worked side by side with his wife Shirley at Phidippides in Metairie. To their many friends and customers Henry was a true advisor, supporter, and friend. Henry was an active and strong supporter of several athletic organizations including New Orleans Running Systems, Inc. (NORSI), Metairie Runners, and the New Orleans Track Club (NOTC).
