

He was born on August 1, 1936, and was a resident of Metairie, Louisiana. Henry is preceded in death by his parents, Cecile Abadie Leland and Maurice Leland; his beloved wife, Gay Leland; and his Mother and Father-in-Law, Marion (Mee Mee) and Gaetano (Guy Dee Dee) Ficaro.
Henry is a graduate of Metairie High School. He worked for Wells Fargo Armored Truck Company as an armored truck driver, then eventually coordinated and oversaw the routes. Henry also worked for BFI Industries, securing new sanitation routes in Houston, Texas, and was assigned to a special team that established a sanitation routing system in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in the early 1980's. Henry retired from the company Glory U.S.A., where he sold contracts for currency-counting machines to banks and casinos across the Gulf Coast region.
Henry proudly served his country as a Gunner in the United States Air Force.
Above all else, Henry lived his life for his family. He was such a happy and proud father and grandfather (Papa), and was beloved by all.
Henry is survived by his children, Guy H. Leland (Wendy W. Leland), Rhen L. de Lanzac (Kraig S. de Lanzac), and grandchildren, Mallory D. Aaron (Nicholas A. Aaron), Braden S. de Lanzac, and James P. Leland.
