He was a lifelong New Orleanian and a New Orleanian to the core. He attended school at St. Cecilia, St. Benedict’s at St. Joseph’s Abbey, Notre Dame Seminary, and he also attended Loyola University New Orleans. He was a lifelong parishioner of St. Ann Church and Shrine.
He was a commercial plumbing salesman all his adult life for nearly 50 years. He sold plumbing to every plumber in town and outfitted the whole city with fixtures from hotels to houses, especially after hurricane Katrina. He and his son started a construction business together. He helped get many businesses and homes up and running. He loved cooking and great New Orleans food, like red beans and rice, oysters, and roast beef po-boys. His meatballs & spaghetti were legendary, and he always enjoyed a cannoli from Brocato’s. He also enjoyed coffee & donuts with his buddies. He loved watching and playing sports, including golfing and bowling with his friends and colleagues. He loved watching the Saints and especially loved Tulane Football. He was Tulane’s most hardcore fan! But most of all, he loved his family, especially his granddaughters. He will be missed dearly by his family, friends, and colleagues. He was a one-of-a-kind sweet man, who was known for his great smile!
Henry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sandra Ann Boasso Miller; son, Jeffrey Charles Miller; daughter-in-law, Julie Roberts Miller; granddaughters, Gabby Miller and Grace Miller; and sister, Mary Ann Miller.
