Hermon L. J. Thedy “Ted”, of Metairie, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021 at the age of 93. Ted was the beloved husband for 70 years of Joyce Olsen Thedy; loving father of the late Barbara Thedy Hester (John) and Carol Thedy Lagasse; grandfather of Raymond Lee (Gabrielle), David Lee (Kimberly), and Tara Aguilar (Mark); great grandfather of Jonathan Lee, Adeleine Lee, Emerson Lee, Claire Koper, Madelyn Veron, Amelia Aguilar, Rachel Lee, and Matthew Lee; brother of the late John Arion Thedy; and son of the late George Joseph Thedy and Mary Pauline Dominici Thedy.
Ted was born and raised in New Orleans, and was a veteran with the United States Navy. He was a supervisor with the United States Postal Service, and was able to retire early and spend many years traveling the US with his family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at St. Angela Merici Catholic Church, 901 Beverly Garden Dr. in Metairie, Louisiana, on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 10:30AM. A visitation will be held at the church beginning at 9:30AM. The interment will be private.
