Isabel Nogales Martin

Isabel Nogales Martin passed away on Friday, June 10, 2016. She is survived by her sister, Gladys Nogales, niece Elena Rabassa, nephews Eric Del Pino, Rene Del Pino and Pepito Rabassa, great nephews, Ryan Del Pino, Brent Del Pino, Coco Rabassa, Rene Rabassa and great nieces Sophia Rabassa, and Isabella Rabassa. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Martin, her parents, Segundo Nogales and Isabel DeSola Nogales; and her sisters, Ernestina Rabassa and Adelina Del Pino. Isabel was born on August 10, 1928 in Guantanamo, Cuba. She was a retired teacher and after retirement, she and her sister loved to travel. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends. She will always be remembered for her sense of humor, zest for life and her love of gardening. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Olga Morraz Blandon, her caregiver. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., on Saturday, June 18th at 11:00 am.
