Jacob Anthony Dauth, Sr. died on October 28, 2016. Born in New Orleans on December 6, 1940 to the late John and Edith Dauth. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Charlene Young. Father of Jacob, Jr. (Kristi), Denise, John (Leona), and Joseph (Angela). Brother of John H. Dauth, Darryl Sinclair, and the late Darlene Haik. Grandfather of Michelle, Chaz, Anthony, Jonathan, Christopher, Elizabeth, Tiffany, and Brooke, as well as eight great grandchildren. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to hunt big game and deep sea fishing. He was a member and past president of the Greater New Orleans Tarpon Club along with numerous memberships of various hunting clubs. He also served as the executive self defense gun instructor at Gretna Gun Works. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. until service. Inurnment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
