

Jacobo D. Solano passed away on April 6, 2022 at the age of 93. He was born in Veracruz, Mexico to Jacobo and Rosinda Solano. He served as a special guard to the President in the Mexican Military. Jacobo enjoyed a career as an industrial skilled technician. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, American football, soccer, cooking, and getting together with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife of 66 years, Maria Concepcion Urbina Solano; daughter, Sonia Alicia Solano Wilson; son, Roberto A. Solano; sisters, Elena, Angeles, and Leyla; brothers, Jorge and Armando; sisters-in-law, Zoila, Matilde, and Ella Urbina; brothers-in-law, Maria, Miguel, Rodolfo, and Leopoldo; half-sisters-in-law, Edmunda and Francisca; and half-brother-in-law, Prospero Alonzo.
Jacobo is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Solano Vizcarra (Ramon); son, Jacobo M. Solano (Rose); sisters, Sonia, Mina, and Gloria; brothers, Arturo, Cesar, and Francisco; grandchildren, Alicia Jensen (Jesse), Angelica Solano, and Amanda Solano; and great grandchild, Levi Jacob Jensen.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Catholic funeral service at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans, on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at 12 PM. Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM. Jacobo will be laid to rest in Lake Lawn Park following the service.
