Jacqueline (Jackie) Johnson Freund Ryan

Jacqueline (Jackie) Johnson Freund Ryan passed away peacefully after a very full and eventful 99 years. She was born in Clarksburg, WV on August 7, 1927, but resided in Baltimore, MD for most of her life. In her later years, she moved to Satellite Beach, FL, (spending days at the beach, enjoying good times with her beloved cousins, and always having a paint brush in hand.)

In her late 80’s she moved to New Orleans to join her niece, great niece and nephew; She reveled in the birth of 6 great, great nieces and nephews. No matter what life brought, Jackie soldiered on with faith and grace, sharing her adaptable, generous and joyful spirit with the many, many friends she made along the way.

She is proceeded in death by her beloved son, John Cameron Freund, who she cherished and adored, as well as other loved ones. She is survived by her niece, Jacqueline Manson Yancey (Richard), her great niece, Cameron Yancey Adams (Pierce), her great nephew, Richard “Hunter” Yancey IV (Kristie) and her great, great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend special thanks to staff members of Poydras Home who took her best interests to heart for the last 11 years. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
