

James “Jimmy” Arnold Clark, 79, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022 in Baton Rouge, LA. Jimmy was born on August 3, 1942 in New Orleans, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwina Nuessly and William Vernon Clark. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Jane Melone Clark; his daughter, Angela Cole (Kenny); his son, Sean Clark (Sarah); his three grandchildren, Bradford John Keller, Jr., and Zoë and Lucas Clark; his siblings, Robert Clark (Kathy), Thomas Clark (Mary), Nancy Boudoin (Joseph), Dennis Clark (Doug), Ann Clark Taylor, Colleen Ryce (Dannie), Warren Clark (Susan), and Peggy Clark; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Jimmy was in the Naval Reserves as a helicopter mechanic and sonar operator. He received his BA degree from the University of New Orleans in Fine Arts and worked for Union Carbide, retiring from Dow Chemical as an inspector. He enjoyed woodworking and loved to garden. He belonged to both the Bromeliad Society and Orchid Society in Baton Rouge and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, first at St. Jude the Apostle Church and then at St. George Catholic Church in Baton Rouge. Jimmy kept his sense of humor to the very last day on this earth.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation to be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. followed by an 11:00 a.m. memorial mass celebrated at St. Jude the Apostle Church at 9150 Highland Road, Baton Rouge, LA 70810. A private inurnment will be held at a later date at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum in New Orleans, LA.
