

James P. Quatroy, 72, of Metairie, Louisiana, died Tuesday, October 14, 2014 in New Orleans. He was born August 22, 1942 in New Orleans to the late Peter and Mabel Molero Quatroy. James is survived by daughter; Nicole Quatroy Robino, grandchildren; Charles Wesley Johnson, Jr. and Taylor Nicole Robino. He is further survived by cousins; Dorothy Benge of New Orleans and Patricia O’Toole of Tyler, Texas.
James was a self-employed Investor/Contractor and had an interest in horse racing, owning a stable: Golden Oaks in Folsum, La. He was also a member and benefactor of the Los Islenos Heritage and Cultural Society. James also was a Diamond Life Sponsor of Ducks Unlimited and a member of the Johnny Walker Society of Ducks Unlimited of Mexico.
The family would like to thank the staff of St. Theresa’s Specialty Hospital, as well as his sitter’s; Martha Evans, Myra Dunn, Claudia Washington, Dionne Gousman and Beth Haab, for their dedicated service and care of Jamie.
Visitation will be Monday October 20, 2014 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, New Orleans.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday October 21, 2014 at 12:00 pm at the funeral home, with an additional visitation time Tuesday from 10:00 am to time of services at Noon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Los Islenos Heritage and Cultural Society c/o Delacroix Corp. at 206 Decatur Street, New Orleans, Louisiana, 70130 to benefit the Production of the Documentary of the “Delacroix Islenos and the Trapper’s War.”
