Janet Claire Mauer passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on June 19, 2015. She was predeceased by her loving husband Larry Mauer, Sr., her parents Alice and Earl Skaggs, and her brother Emmet Galyon (Arlene). She is survived by her two sons Larry Mauer, Jr. (Emma) and Kristian Mauer. Maw Maw to her granddaughter, Victoria Mauer, who was her pride and joy. Janet is also survived by her brothers Louis Skaggs (Gwendolyn), Roy Skaggs, and a host of nieces and nephews. She was a former employee of the World War II Museum and a native of New Orleans.
