Janice “Jan” Laurie Long passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, October 25, 2024 at the age of 66. She was a native of New Orleans and resident of Metairie. Jan attended St. Dominic School, Mount Carmel Academy class of 1976 and L.S.U. She had a career as a manager at Loyola University in the information technology department. Jan was a parishioner of St. Dominic Church in New Orleans. She loved to travel and gather with friends and family. Jan is survived by her mother, Joyce Eiserloh Long; her sister, Linda Long Bellocq (Gerry); brothers, William A. Long, III (Eileen), Leonard M. Long (Melanie) and Daniel J. Long (Stacey); as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Jan was preceded in death by her father, William Anthony Long, Jr. and her sister, Lisa Marie Long Sanchez. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA on Wednesday, November 6, 2024.
