

Jeanette Connell Lehman, 78, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 15, 2018. She was born and raised in New Orleans, and most recently was a resident of Slidell. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School. Before her retirement, she was employed by City Wholesale Liquor Company for 35 years as a Data Processing Manager. She was an active member of many organizations, including Padua Twenties, St. Anthony of Padua Mother’s Club, The Red Hat Society, and The Slidell Newcomers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hazel Antoinette Broussard and William Carroll Hill; Her husband, Donald Thomas Connell, and her son, Kevin Patrick Connell and her grandson, Bryce Philip Mitchell; her second husband, George Dwight Lehman. Also, her 2 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by her sister, Hazel Mae Hill St. Romain.
She was a loving mother to the late Kevin Patrick Connell (Gina Bruno), Stephen Olan Connell (Jacqueline Roa Pascual), Shannon Connell Marino (Norman Anthony), Kieran Connell Ginesi (Christopher Lawrence), and Colleen Connell Mitchell (Gregory Lance). She adored her grandchildren; Ryan Patrick, Brigid Annette, Sean Payton(Michelle), Kyle Anthony(Eden) & Nolan Thomas Connell (Sarah); Stephanie Maria Collins (Ryan), Casey Maria, Ilecara Gabrielle Roa Pascual, Nigel Malachi Roa Pascual, Joshua Stephen, Jace Matthew, Maylyn Yzabella Connell; Kaitlyn Elizabeth, Lindsay Sarah, Mallory Therese and Peyton Anthony Marino; Mitchell Lawrence and Madelyn Rose Ginesi; Quinn Edward, Gabriel Lance, Brendan Connell, Evan Thomas and Kolbe Fisher Mitchell: and her great-grandchildren Hayden Elizabeth Connell, Caroline Maria and Maddox Michael Collins, Caleb Isaac, Anthony Joseph, Elizabeth Rose and Theo Grey Connell. She is God-Mother to Lynette Gravel Grant and Monique Nicole St. Romain, and the loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life on Monday, February 19, 2018 for 1:00 p.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until service time. Fr. Stephen Dardis and Fr. Robert Massett, co-officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date.
