Jeanne Lowe Dragon, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on May 28th, 2026, at the age of 64. Jeanne was born on April 9th, 1962, in New Orleans, Louisiana. She lived a life of faith, marked by kindness, strength, and devotion to those she loved. Most important was her love and devotion to God and her family, especially her four grandchildren. She was known for her warm heart, generous spirit, and the joy she brought to family and friends throughout her life. Her joy for life was reflected in her expressions, laughter, smile, and her gift of talking and storytelling with family and friends.
Throughout her life, Jeanne enjoyed being active in many ways including boating, swimming, riding bikes, camping, motorcycle rides with her husband Lance, and “eat/shop” outings with her family and friends. She loved family gatherings, cooking, traveling, and spending time with friends, but above all she loved our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. After moving from Airline Park in Metairie, La. to Tickfaw, La., Jeanne became an active member of Eagle Heights Community Church. For 22 years, she served her church family and community, including volunteering for Our Daily Bread.
Jeanne is preceded in death by her parents, Robert J. Lowe and Betty G. Lowe; in-Laws, Joseph, Sr and Vera Dragon; brothers-In-Law, Joseph Dragon, Jr. and Darren Dragon. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Lance Gerald Dragon; her daughter, Angelique Dragon Mora (Luis “Champ”); her grandchildren, Lance Michael Dragon, Sailer Mora, Ava Mora, and Cruz Mora; her six siblings, Cathy Blanchard (Wayne), Robin Tenhundfeld (Jerry), Margaret Richards (Timothy), Mary Brown (Robert), Robert “Larry” Lowe (Jeanne), and Sarah Smith (Shelby); brothers-In-Law, Derek Dragon Sr (Laurie) and Audie Dragon; and her numerous nieces and nephews. There are also many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
To know Jeanne was to love her, and so many lives were made better by having Jeanne in them.
