Jeanne Mazoue Marsh

Jeanne Mazoue Marsh May 2, 1929 - February 1, 2021. Jeanne peacefully entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 1, 2021 at the age of 91 years old. She was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband, Robert “Tex” Marsh, parents, Joseph Mazoue and Maude Mazoue, sister, Gloria Leahy, and great-granddaughter, Evangeline Grantham. She was loved dearly and will be missed by her daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Bobby Messenger and Patty and Richard Compagno, her grandchildren, Michelle (Todd) Dozier, Angelique (Brad) Grantham, Tricia (Marcos) Lara, Jenny (Bart) Broome, Nicky (Jay) Long, Bobby (Rayanna) Messenger, and Tiffany (Hunter) Brown, and fourteen great-grandchildren. She resided in Metairie, LA her entire life and attended Sacred Heart of Jesus High School. Later, she met Tex and they began their life together. Jeanne prided herself on being a stay-at-home mother to their daughters while helping at their school anytime it was needed. While passionate about all that she took part in, she particularly loved cooking, playing cards, hosting pool parties, taking cruise vacations, and cheering for her New Orleans Saints. Of all, spending time with family was what she loved most. She especially treasured her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, supporting them in their numerous activities. Fondly known to many as Granny, she captured the hearts of all whom she met with her quick wit and unconditional love. Services were held Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Metairie. Interment followed at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
