Jeffrey Philip McCleney passed away on October 10, 2026, at the age of 48. He was born on March 9, 1978, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was an artist, business owner, landlord, husband, father, uncle and son. In his free time, he enjoyed helping others, playing music and traveling.
Jeff was genuine, unique, and truly one of a kind. He was the walking definition of a standup guy. If anyone needed anything, he was quick to offer his assistance. He was a devoted husband, accepted his stepchildren as his own and became an amazing father. He had a soft spot for dogs, especially those that needed extra care. He never forgot a face or a name and was accepting of all.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John Wallace McCleney, Elizabeth Bentel McCleney, Fred Muller, Ellen Muller, uncle Fred Muller Jr, and aunt Kathie Kelly.
Jeff is survived by his wife of 11 years, Angela Lessard McCleney; daughter, Mia McCleney; son, Devlin Fultz; mother, Gretchen McCleney, father, John McCleney; sister, Jennifer McCleney; brother, Scott McCleney (Kimberly McCleney); mother-in-law and father-in-law Barbara and Purvis Lessard; sister-in-law Celeste Lessard; nieces and nephews, Jaylyn LeCesne, Drew Higgins, Dylan McCleney, Mason McCleney, Claire Lessard; dog, Ramona McCleney and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans, on Saturday, November 7, 2026. Visitation will begin at 10 AM with a memorial service following at 12 PM. Jeffrey will be laid to rest privately on a later date.
