Jo Ann Fauries Cousins, age 85, passed away peacefully at her home in Metairie, Louisiana on Saturday, August 3, 2024. She is survived by her daughters, Trudy Cousins Gaudet (Donald), Cynthia Cousins Ryan (Michael), Roslyn Cousins (John), Vanessa Cousins Sellers (Roy) and Kim Cousins Booth (Lawson); grandchildren, Daniel Mark Gaudet (Aramis), Lauren Eugenia Gaudet Dorvin (Eddie), Anthony Eugene Longo, Emily Elizabeth Longo, Henry Frederick Laurent, II, Andre William Gaudet (Angela), Hannah Lynn Jo Ann Laurent, Lindsey Elizabeth Sellers and Roy Nolen Sellers, IV; and great-grandchildren, Arabella Rose Lawtum, Dominic Oliver Gaudet, Ruby Rae Gonzalez, Harry Eugene Dorvin, Miranda Jean Dorvin, Giovanni Victor Lawtum, Maya Danielle Gaudet, Colette Josephine Dorvin, Henri Weber Laurent and Nora Madeleine Gaudet. Jo Ann is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Eugene Victor Cousins; her parents, Randolph G. Fauries and Conchetta B. Fauries; her sisters, Dorothy Madere, Marion Patterson as well as her two triplet sisters. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home on Friday, August 16, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until service time with interment to follow at All Saints Mausoleum.
