Joan Accardo Pourciau

Joan Accardo Pourciau, age 82, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 12, 2016 at Brookdale Assisted Living Center in Kenner, Louisiana. She is the daughter of the late John J. Accardo and the late Bessie G. Accardo, beloved and devoted wife of the late Joseph A. Pourciau. She is survived by her daughters, Toni Massa Baldini (Richard), Terri Massa Troxclair (Scott) and Geri Massa; grandchildren, Korey A. Clement (Lindsey), Tana Baldini (Ross Guillot), Richard F. Baldini III (Jeanne) and Kimberly Baldini Miguez (Dudley); great grandchildren, Brigitte Nicole Fontenot, Stefani Ann Baldini and Baby Clement. She was a native of New Orleans and lived in Carriere, Mississippi for the past 20 years. The family would like to thank the Staff at Brookdale Assisted Living Center in Kenner, especially Tina Lipps and Joan Pettit Collins for their warmth and open arms! We would also like to say that our mother could never had been so blessed as to have the care of two very special ladies, Diannia Jordan and Willie Jean Galman, who took care of her 24/7 and loved her as if she was their own mother! Thank you for everything! You made mom smile EVERY DAY. Also, a very big thank you to the staff of Passages Hospice. The family extends their love and gratitude to Leslie and Dusty Douglass for their unselfish care and devotion over the years! You are family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 3445 N.
