JoAnn Boudreaux Gautre

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, Thurman J. Gautre, Jr. and her sister, Mary Delma Lassabe. Left to cherish her memories are her children, Kim Langlois (Wade), Karen Hebert (David), and T. J. Gautre, III (Christy); her grandchildren, Caley Mellor (Kevin), Caroline Boudreau (Ryan), Wade Langlois, IV, Lauren Hebert (David Connor), Ashley Hebert, Charlotte Gautre, Elise Gautre, and Claire Gautre; her great grandchildren, Gabrielle, Sadie, Nora, Simon, Ramsey, Saylor, and Calvin; her special niece and nephew, Peggy Armand and Danny Lassabe; and her special friend, Connie Dale. She is also survived by her loving companion, Roland “Sonny” Babin.

JoAnn was a lifelong parishioner of St. Benilde Catholic Church. She loved family celebrations, especially during the holidays, enjoyed taking care of her beautiful garden, and visits to the Gulf Coast casinos.

Thanks to everyone who provided loving care and support through her illness. The family also wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the wonderful doctors and nurses who cared for JoAnn, especially Dr. Abhinav Saxena, the staff at Seminole House, and her caretakers, Lindsey and Wanda.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial Mass in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Monday, June 9, 2025 at 11:00AM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 10:00AM. The interment will be private.
