John Melville Buchler, age 66, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2014 at Ochsner Foundation Hospital following a brief illness. John was born in New Orleans, La. to the late John Joseph Buchler, Jr. and Madeline Patricia Price Buchler. John attended Delgado Community College. He served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. After returning from military service, he worked at Avondale Shipyards.
John is survived by his brothers, Patrick and Charles Buchler of Metairie, La., and his sisters, Barbara Drott of Mandeville, La., Diane Farkas of Covington, La., and Nancy Wann of Springfield, Va. He is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
