

He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on February 22, 1937 to John Sr. and Louise Arthur Gleber. He graduated with an Associate’s Degree from Delgado Community College and became an operations supervisor with National Airlines/Pan American World Airways. He retired after 25 years of service. In his free time, he loved traveling, cruising, casinos, and going to the beach. He also showed a keen interest in building and renovating both residential and commercial properties. John was delighted to celebrate his 85th birthday on 2/22/22, a memory that his family will cherish forever.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene Dutreix Gleber; sons, John Gleber III and James Patrick Gleber; brothers, Joseph Louis Gleber; great grandson, Oliver Michael Gleber; and his parents.
Following his wife’s passing, he spent 37 years with the love of his life, Carolanne Doody Gleber. He is survived by Carolanne, his wife of 20 years; daughter, Karen Ann Gleber (Kirk Millspaugh); sister, Rosalie Gleber Bordelon; stepchildren, Tiffany Hulin French (Edward), Tamara Elizabeth Holliman (Keith), Jason Tyler Gill (Richard Corkern Jr.); grandchildren, James Gleber (Amanda), Mark Gleber (Amelia), and Michael Gleber; step grandchildren, Alyssa Marie Gill, Valerie Anne Hulin, Elaina Renee Hulin, Jack Corbit Holliman, Kimberly Elizabeth Holliman, Grant Edward French, Ashtyn Anastasia French; great grandchildren, Mason Scott Gleber, John Brooks Gleber, Lucas Scott Gleber, River James Gleber, and Jackson Daniel Gleber.
