John Kenneth Phillips, Jr. "Ken"

John Kenneth Phillips, Jr. “Ken”, was born August 22, 1950, in Memphis TN, and passed away February 14, 2023. After many years of battle and suffering with his health, Ken has peacefully gone to meet his Maker.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jane Frederic Phillips, his father, John Kenneth Phillips, Sr., and his nephew, Brian Jacob Phillips; Beloved brother of Laura Constance Phillips Olister (Dominick “Buddy”), Stephen Michael Phillips (Lynda Charbonnet), and Denise Gail Phillips Brunner. Loving uncle of Jason Michael Phillips, Sr. and Jason, Jr., Sophie Renee’ Brunner and Frederic John Brunner. He is sadly missed by his compassionate and caring friend, Mickey Terranova.

Ken attended Archbishop Rummel, class of 1968 and LSUNO where he was a Phi Kappa Theta fraternity brother. Ken was a long-time manager of Olister’s Napoleon Room where several coworkers became his closest friends, golf buddies, and appreciated supporters as his illness progressed.

The family would like to express sincere gratitude to Passages Hospice for the kind, attentive, and consoling care they gave Ken and our family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial Mass in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Monday, February 27, 2023 at 11:00AM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 10:00AM. The interment will be private.
