Jon Colby Thomazin, age 52 years, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2016 in New Orleans, LA. Beloved partner of Kurt Bindewald. Loving son of Connie Thomazin and the late Bob Thomazin. Brother of Robin Gzehoviak (Joe) and Jill Jewell (David). Uncle of Briar Jewell, Jackson Gzehoviak, Jessie Jewell, and Molly Gzehoviak. Brother-in-law of Donna Rogers (David), Karen Cresson (Tom), Ricky Bindewald (Sara), Cheryl Baham (Mark), and Matthew Bindewald (Aprel). Also survived by other nieces and nephews; Dallas, Tyler, Zachary, Jessica, Layne, Alana, Graci, Mackenzie, Joseph, Brooklyn, Calais, and Gabriella. For several years, Colby served as Campus Minister at the Chadron State College Newman Student Center in Chadron, NE. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial mass at Ignatius Chapel at Loyola University New Orleans, LA on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 1:00 PM. A reception will follow.
