His wishes for the following message to be printed, taken from the will of J. P. Morgan that states "I commit my soul into the hands of my Savior, in full confidence that having redeemed it in His most precious blood He will present it faultless before the throne of my Heavenly Father; and I entreat my children, relatives and friends to maintain and defend, at all hazard, and at any cost of personal sacrifice, the blessed doctrine of complete atonement for sin through the blood of Jesus Christ, once offered, and through that alone."
He was born on July 23, 1938, in New Orleans, La. He was a graduate of Saint Paul's College in 1956.
Also, attended Southeastern Louisiana University and attended Loyola University.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent C. Bruno, father and Agatha Evola Bruno, mother, beloved grandparents, Nicolo (Papa) Evola and Stephanie (Mama) Ruffino Evola.
He was blessed to have sister, Bernadette Baas (Ray) and little brother, Nicolo Bruno (Charlene). Father of Laurie, Vincent, and Enrico (Ricky) Bruno. He was Papa to 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He loved to fish and was an avid big-game hunter and a world traveler as well. He was a life member of the NRA and member of South Louisiana Gun Club. He was also a former member of Safari Club International. He formerly owned many Tastee Donut Shops and a former partner in Ruth's Chris Steak House, Philadelphia, Pa.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Monday, January 22, 2024 at 2:00PM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 12:00PM. The interment will follow the chapel service in Metairie Cemetery.
