Joseph A. Hart, "Joe", passed away on June 6, 2014 at 79 years old. He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph Albert Hart, Sr. and Marie Thibodeaux Hart, his sister, Edith Hart Richard and his son Marc J. Hart. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Joan Mitchell Hart, daughter and son-in-law Erin Hart Young and Danny R. Young, daughter-in-law Cyndi Bunch Hart, Grandchildren: Gunnar Young, Christopher Hart and Michel Hart. A Marine Corps veteran, he was a member of the Marine Corps League-Paul E. Boyd Detachment #579. He was especially proud to have been selected "Marine of the Year" in 1998. He was a graduate of Holy Cross High School and attended Loyola and Tulane Universities.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 1:30pm at St. Pius X Church, 6666 Spanish Fort Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124. Visitation will be from 12:00pm until Mass at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Operation Homefront Louisiana/Mississippi, P.O. Box 850410, New Orleans, LA. 70185 or to your favorite charity.
