Josephine “Phiney” Clesi Calhoun, 67, of St. Bernard, LA passed away peacefully in her sleep Sunday, July 26, 2026.
She was born September 7, 1958, in New Orleans, LA to Alice Perry Clesi and Joseph Clesi Jr. She was married to Michael Ray Calhoun, Sr.
Josephine was preceded in death by her parents, Alice and Joseph; husband, Michael; brothers, Joseph N. Clesi, III, Ronald Clesi, and Michael Clesi.
She is survived by her son, Michael R. Calhoun Jr.; brother, Curtis J. Clesi; sister, Teria Gravois; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Clesi; nephew, Nicholas Clesi; niece, Teonia Gravois; and friends, Sharon Serpas, Katherine “Tettie” Serpas, and Patsy Deogracias.
