Joshua Hernaez

He was born on June 13th to Christine and David Hernaez. Joshua was a lover of music, baseball, and enjoyed spending time with his younger brothers, family and beloved girlfriend Kaylee Bodden. Joshua was smart and he loved having fun and making people smile. He always lightened the mood and brought a good vibe wherever he went. Joshua graduated from West Jefferson High School in 2013, where he was a member of the pep squad, on student council, #12 on the varsity baseball team, and homecoming king his senior year.

Joshua is survived by his loving parents, younger brothers Nolan, Logan and Elijah, maternal grandmother Shar Russell of Bremerton, WA, paternal grandfather Frank Hernaez of Carrier, MS, aunts Sayra Hernaez Falghou and Nicole Barrios Watson, uncles Blue Carter and Rory Falghou as well as numerous family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Alba Hernaez and maternal grandparents Ramon and Mary Barrios.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Friday, July 11, 2014 in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, at 1:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 10:00am until service time. Interment will be private.
