Joyce Schwartz Catoire, beloved wife of the late Edmond V. Catoire, Jr., passed away at the age of 91 on May 29, 2021. She was born on September 14, 1929 to the late Anthony and Ruby Schwartz in New Orleans. She worked with Merrill Lynch for 38years and had also worked with C’s pharmacy. She is survived by: her daughter, Ruby-Joy Merrick; her son, Edmond V. Catoire, III (Ilene); her grandchildren, Tammy Merrick Dwelle (William, Sr.), Angelle Catoire Cobb (James “Tommy”), Shauntel Merrick Achord (Lance), and Cherie Catoire Hyde (Emmet, Jr.); her great-grandchildren, Kaylie Hyde, Austin Hyde, Savannah Cobb, Kevin Cobb, William Dwelle, Jr., Zachary Dwelle, and Ethan Achord; and her great-great grandchild, Wesley James Baker.
A visitation will be held at Lake Lawn Funeral Home at 5100 Ponchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, 70121 on Friday, June 4, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
