Joyce Taylor DeLucca (MiMi) passed away peacefully in her home January 5, 2019, surrounded by her loving children. She is preceded in death by her lifelong love and husband of 72 years, John A. DeLucca. Joyce is survived by her loving children Kinta Baldwin (Richard), Pamela LaFata (Samuel) and John “Jay” DeLucca II (Colleen). She is the beloved MiMi to seven grandchildren Jennifer Harris, Colette Rishton, Kristina LaFata, Richard Baldwin, Jr., Elizabeth Watkins, Lauren DeLucca and Nicole Mewes. She was blessed with fourteen great-grandchildren. Joyce was born February 29, 1928. She was a lifelong resident of New Orleans, graduating from Annunciation High School. She was a devout Catholic and very active in the Charismatic Renewal. Joyce was the epitome of a true Southern Lady, which reflected in her style, glamour and sassiness. She will be forever in our hearts and remembered for her love and dedication to her family. She now joins PawPaw and their love story continues.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service which will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA. Visitation will begin at 10:30am, followed by Mass at 12:00pm in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home. Interment will take place in All Saints Mausoleum in Metairie Cemetery.
