Juan Carmelo Escanelles

He is survived by his daughters, Marietta Johnston (Andrew) and Victoria Escanelles; his granddaughter, Lilli Grace Johnston; sister, Norma Elia Rodriguez (Raul); brother, Lucas Miguel Escanelles (Carmen); his former spouse and friend, Juana Escanelles; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Gustavo Juan Escanelles.

Juan enjoyed going to the gym and watching movies. He was a generous father, grandfather and brother, who was always there to assist family and friends. Most importantly, he cherished quality time spent with those he loved most dearly; especially with his granddaughter, Lilli, who was most precious to him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass to be held in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124 on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow the Mass in Restlawn Park Cemetery.
