Julia Palazzalo Marino

Julia Joyce Marino passed away on Tuesday, October 3rd, 2017 at the age of 82. She was the beloved wife of Martin Marino for 60 years. She was a loving mother to Debbie Story (Brian), Tina Lailhengue (Paul), Sally Westberry (Jamie), Salvadore Marino (Missie). She was the daughter of the late Tinie Palazzalo and Samuel Palazzalo, sister of Santo Palazzalo (Priscilla), Nicholas Palazzalo(Dukie) and the late Antonio Palazzalo. Julia is the proud grandmother of Christina D’Angelo, Lucien D’Angelo, Jennifer McCloskey (Marion), Marty Lailhengue (Christine), Brittney Guidry (Robbie), Jessica Westberry (Anthony), Irene Marino, Sofia Marino, Salvadore Marino, also great- grandmother of nine great-grand children, Karly, Madison, Patrick, Marlei, Jeremy, Marion, Brynleigh, Jaxson and Marty Jr., step grandchildren, PJ Lailhengue (Allison), Jeannedell Case, Benjamin Story (Kristen), Ashley Story, Chad Westberry (Mindi), Sarah Westberry, nine great-grand step children and numerous nieces and nephews. Julia was born in New Orleans and a lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish. She was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister aunt and friend that will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all. A gathering will be held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home on Friday, October 13th, 2017 from 5:00pm-8:00pm.
