

Juliet Haber Greenberg, age 90 years died on the morning of March 15, 2022 at her residence. Wife of the late Nathan Greenberg. She is the beloved mother of David Greenberg (Lauren), Susan Jaffe (Marc) and the late Mark Greenberg. Mother-in-law of Laura Greenberg. Grandmother of Jacob Greenberg, Karri Palazzo (Paul), Adam and Scott Jaffe, Michael, Ryan and Molly Greenberg and great grandmother of Olivia, Natalie and Nolan Palazzo; and Juliet Greenberg. She was known as “Grandmommy” by her grandchildren and many others.
She was the sister-in-law of Carol Haber and her children, Cathy Goldstein, Joey Haber and Suzy Wakefield (Dave). She was the daughter of the late William and Ray Marcus Haber, sister of the late Annette Haber and Victor Haber.
Mrs. Greenberg was raised in Montgomery, Alabama by her Aunt Selma and Uncle Sanford Marcus. She graduated from McMain High School in 1949 and continued friendships by attending luncheons regularly with her high school friends until recently. She worked for Maison Blanche from 1949 to 1956, starting as a retail clerk and working her way up to a buyer of ladies sportswear.
She as a Life Member of Hadassah, Temple Sinai, Temple Sinai Sisterhood, and was the second person to be Bat Mitzvah’d at Temple Sinai where she was also confirmed; a member of Twilight Garden Club for 65 years, the Shamrock Investment Club and served on the Board of Directors for Willow Wood Home. She maintained friendships since childhood and was fortunate to make friends both younger and older than her for her entire life. Mrs. Greenberg enjoyed playing golf with her husband and sons at Lakewood Country Club and with friends she made through the local women’s golf association. In her late 40’s she started jogging and participated in races, wining her age group multiple times, “most times being the only one in her age group.” She was fortunate to employ and maintain a friendship with Kitty Carter, with whom she entrusted her children, allowing her to travel the world with Nat. She and Nat enjoyed hosting a Super Bowl Party for over 35 years. In her later years, she enjoyed knitting and making afghans for family including all of her grandchildren. Mrs. Greenberg loved to cook and bake and was known for her cheesecake and cocoon cookies, spending time with her daughter in the kitchen, shopping and just being together. She also frequented Boom Town Casino.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service in the Sanctuary of Touro Synagogue, 4238 St. Charles Avenue, New Orleans on Friday, March 18, 2022 at 2:00 pm, with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM. Rabbi Katie Bauman will officiate. A private family interment will follow at Hebrew Rest Cemetery III.
