June Margaret Serio

June Margaret Serio was born on December 27, 1935 and passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025 at the age of 89. She is survived by her son and daughter, Kevin Serio and Cindy Serio Pagragan (Brian); her three grandchildren, Chris Serio (MaryClare), Andrew Serio (Jenny), and Lauren Serio and their mother, Nancy Serio; and her seven beautiful great-grandchildren.

June was preceded in death by her parents, Sydney and Nancy Davis, her brother, Richard Davis, and Kevin’s wife, her daughter-in-law, Maria Serio.

June was a native of Metairie, Louisiana, and attended Academy of the Holy Angels School. She then worked as a customer service representative for Prudential for 32 years. June found her true calling as a New Orleans tour guide with Hotard. She met and became friends with wonderful people from around the world, talked about the city she grew up in, and definitely cracked a few jokes along the way.

She loved talking about her family and friends, always enjoyed the “best food” in New Orleans, from Parkway Bakery, and The Galley in Metairie. Her voice, her hugs, and her laugh will be missed and always remembered.

A visitation for June will be held Thursday, May 8, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home & Cemeteries, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, Louisiana 70124, followed by a memorial mass at 1:00 PM.
