

Kent Joseph Cheramie Sr. passed away on May 24, 2022 at the age of 57. He was a native of Lafitte and a resident of Harahan. Kent was a loving husband, devoted father, selfless friend and unforgettable human. He was a valued team member of Durr Heavy Construction for 30 years and will forever be a “rhino”. His hobbies included volunteering for the Harahan Lions Club, fishing, hunting, being an LSU Tiger and Saints fan, and most importantly spending time with his family. He is survived by his adoring wife Angel Brocato Cheramie; his children: Kayla Lapara (Alex) and Kent Cheramie Jr.; his granddaughters: Ava Grace and Kali Rae Lapara. He is the son of Gail Gossett Cheramie and the late Leo Joseph Cheramie; brother of Kim Guidry (Chris), Wendy Danos (Earl Jr.), Carrie Boudreaux (Kenny Jr.), and the late Debbie Tassin (James); son-in-law of Allen Brocato and the late Beverly Doyle Brocato. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the Durr Team and to the Stumpf Family for all of your love and support.
