Kevin Michael Gervais

Kevin Michael Gervais passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at the age of 29. Kevin was a graduate of Brother Martin High School and later received his Bachelors Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. He was a proud member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity and the best intramural athelete around. Kevin had just begun his journey to become a nurse before his untimely death. Kevin had a heart of gold, a laugh that could fill the room and a smile that could warm your heart. Ultimately, Kevin was a healer. He healed our hearts with laughter, bear hugs and unconditional love. He will be greatly missed. Kevin is survived by his loving parents Keith Gerard and Karen Maher Gervais; sisters Kristen and Kaitlyn; nephew Bryce and niece Brennyn, whom he was affectionately known as “Betty”; the love of his life Melissa Weinberger; maternal grandmother Mildred McCue Maher; paternal grandmother Yolande Baudier Gervais. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Paul Maher Sr. and paternal grandfather Lester P. Gervais. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 2:00 pm.
