Kleo Edward Blue III passed away on January 9, 2024 at the age of 80. He was born on February 27, 1943 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He served his country as a member of the Louisiana National Guard. He was the former co-owner of the Faux Pas Lounge (1974-1994) on Poydras St. Recently, along with his sons, he was the co-owner of Faux Pas Prints. His lifelong passion was Offshore and Inshore fishing along with all things boating. He was a longtime fixture in the sport fishing community throughout the gulf coast, but called Venice Louisiana his port of call. He recently enjoyed traveling in his R/V and frequenting jeep excursions with his wife, Susan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kleo Edward Blue, Jr. and Louise Anouilh Blue; and sister, Janice Blue Savoye.
Kleo is survived by his wife, Susan Williams Blue; son, John Barry Blue (Rachelle Robin Blue) and Kleo Edward Blue IV (Sherry Saacks Blue); brother, Barry Lee Blue, Sr. (Debbie Garey Blue); grandchildren, Sydney Blue, Calley Blue, John Duke Blue, and Brayden Blue; and former wife, Patricia Parker Blue.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering in the parlor of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans, on Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 4 – 7 PM.
