

Kwong was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Eveline Lee; his parents, Mr. Lee Loy Poo and Mrs. Sien Ng; his sister, Pin Lee Eng; his brother, King Yet Lee; and his uncle, Lee Moon Sim “La Sim Ng”.
He is survived by his four sons, Henry Lee (Lena), Edward Lee (Linda), Thomas Lee, and Reuben Lee (Cindy); his five grandchildren, Leslie (James), Stephen (Megan), Daniel (Arianna), Jacob (Linh), and Joseph; and his three great grandchildren, Emily, Will, and Ruth.
Kwong was born in New Orleans on April 4, 1927, and grew up in the French Quarter. He was a graduate of Warren Easton High School and Delgado Trade and Technical Institute. Kwong was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard of Louisiana and worked as a watchmaker and machinist.
He was a member of the NRA and the American Welding Society. His hobbies included collecting watches, knives, and antique timepieces, and was a cigar aficionado. He also enjoyed discovering the intricacies and details of complex machines.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Nola Home Care team, the wonderful Jeriminia of Nola, the entire staff at the Inspired Living Center in Kenner, and to all of the medical staff at LCMC East Jefferson, Ochsner Kenner, and Tulane.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 1:00PM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 11:00AM. The interment will follow the chapel service in Metairie Cemetery.
