Larry Odell Peart, age 74, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026.
Larry was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on June 3, 1952, and was most recently residing in Ponchatoula. A proud veteran, he honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. Following his military service, he worked as a skilled automotive mechanic for many years, using his hands and know-how to help others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Odell Peart and Faye Peart.
He is survived by his sister, Sandra Paternostro; his two sons, Richard Peart and Randall Peart; as well as his extended family and dear friends who will miss him deeply.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering in Larry's honor on Thursday, August 13, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home and Cemeteries, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124.
