

Lee E. Sear, born August 25, 1931, passed away on January 7, 2025. She was predeceased by her parents, Montrose and Jeannette Edrehi, and her husband, Judge Morey Sear. She is survived by her son, William Sear, II (Leslie) and her daughter, Jane Cohn (Stanley); six grandchildren: Joshua Sear (Katie), Benjamin Sear, Jennifer Sear and Jacob Sear, Jeffrey Cohn (Danielle) and Jennifer Nierman (Jonathan); and, eight great-grandchildren.
Lee was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida. She came to New Orleans as a Freshman at Sophie Newcomb College, Tulane University, where she met Morey. She and Morey lived the rest of their lives in New Orleans raising their family. They were one of the original landowners in West Lakeshore where they built their home of many years until Hurricane Katrina when Lee moved to Metairie. Later in the marriage Lee and Morey purchased not far from Pensacola a beach condo which brought Lee fond memories of her hometown during their many visits. She was a member of Congregation Temple Sinai and a supporter of the Jewish Federation as a Lion of Judah.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 2, at Temple Sinai, 6227 St. Charles Avenue, in the Sanctuary beginning at 12 noon. A visitation will precede the service at 11:30 a.m.
