Leona Marie Egan

Leona Marie Braud Egan passed away peacefully on the afternoon of June 26, 2016. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who enjoyed sewing, dancing and bowling. Originally from Duplessis, LA, she lived her adult life in New Orleans and Metairie, LA.

She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Nezida Braud, and her husband Raymond R. Egan, Sr.

She is survived by her children Raymond R. Egan, Jr. (Cheryl) and Gwen Egan Caire (Roland, Jr.), her grandchildren Raymond R. Egan, III (Gina), Shannon M. Egan, Lane B. Sentex (Edouard), Brandon E. Caire (Allyson), Graham L. Caire, and Alexander L. Caire. She is also survived by two beautiful and adored great-grandaughters, Leah Lelaney Egan and Vivien Marie Egan; brother, Harold Braud (Vera) and sister Mayola Brown.

Her family would like to thank the staff of Colonial Oaks Living Center for their care during her final years, and especially thank Alisha Monica Love, her loving personal caretaker, for her tireless compassion, love and generosity.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at St. Ann Catholic Church, 4940 Meadowdale St. Metairie, LA 70006 , on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.
