It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Leonard L. Knowles, Jr., who peacefully entered eternal rest on January 1, 2026 at the age of 87. Lenny was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and spent most of his life there before relocating to Pearl River, Louisiana in 1984. Lenny was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard L. Knowles, Sr. and Hazel Castrogivanni Knowles and his two sisters, Kathleen Lamarque (Emile) and Hazel Knowles.
He is survived by his wife, the love of his life and best friend, Carroll Jones Knowles; three children, Leonard L. Knowles, III (Lauri), Lauren Knowles, Michael Knowles, five grandchildren and his beloved four legged buddy, Baxter.
Lenny retired from U.S. Air Force reserves, Metropolitan Life Insurance and Exxon – Mobil. After retiring from the Air Force reserves, he obtained a small plane pilot’s license and enjoyed many years flying for pleasure. Lenny and his wife, Carroll, loved adventure and traveled the world. He had a zest for life and a heart full of kindness.
