Leroy “Ricky” H. Ritchie went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 2:40 a.m. He was 88. Beloved husband of the late Clara Benfatti Ritchie. Father of Mattie Ann Kirschenheuter, and her late husband, Lennie; Angela R. Distefano and her husband, Kenneth and Katrina R. Doyle and her husband, Mike. Grandfather of Zachary Paul Kirschenheuter, Leiah Nicole Distefano and MaKayla Marie Doyle and Great-grandfather to Anna Wren Kirschenheuter. Son to the late, George H. and Mattie Weaver Ritchie. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Ricky was a native of New Orleans and last resided in Ponchatoula, Louisiana. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life service to be held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans, LA on Monday, January 4, 2021 at 2:00 pm with visitation beginning at 12:00 noon.
