Linda Patricia Geiling Troxclair

Linda Patricia Geiling Troxclair was born on August 17th, 1956 in Metairie, Louisiana. The Geiling, Troxclair and Moses families gained a guardian angel as Linda passed away on October 22, 2020 at the age of 64. She is preceded in death by her son, Scott Geiling; her parents, Dorothy Gertrude Buhler Geiling and Edwin Eugene Geiling; and her sister, Barbara Dorothy Geiling Buford. She is survived by her two sisters, Loretta Geiling Durand and Lorraine Geiling Wood; her brother, Edwin Geiling; as well as her children, Jennifer Renee Troxclair and Joseph Edwin Troxclair; her son-in-law and daughter-in-law, Crystal Compton and Christopher Moses; and her beloved grandchildren, Asia Renee Patricia Moses, Aaliyah Gabrielle Moses, Arielle Deon Moses, and Christopher Joseph Moses, Jr.

She was a devoted Catholic and prayed daily on behalf of family members as shown in notes she kept with her rosary and Novena book. Linda’s children remember their mother as tender, talkative, generous, humorous, warm, and caring. Joseph Troxclair reveres the strength Linda embodied, and Jennifer Troxclair will always cherish the selflessness and devotion that her mother exemplified. Linda’s sister, Lorraine Geiling Wood, remembers weekends spent in Grand Isle, running barefoot on shells that littered the waterfront, with fishing poles and scoop nets as they caught minnows and fish. She will always treasure the hours upon hours that they spent on those shores, running in the water together.

While Linda Troxclair has passed on, her memory will live on in the memories of her sisters and brother, her children, and grandchildren. They will strive to embody her legacy of strength, selflessness, and her caring nature throughout their lives, and in this way her spirit will always be with them.
