Norma Elizabeth “Liz” Guerra, 75, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2016. She is survived by her sisters, Willie Boland, Linda Nichols and Mary Harrison; her brothers, Herbert B., Lloyd and Glen Seigler; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Luis Richard Guerra; brother, George Seigler; and parents, Herbert and Roberta Siegler. Liz was born on March 27, 1941 in Cottondale, Alabama. She obtained her Masters degree in Nursing from L.S.U. Medical Center and was a professor of nursing most her life. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Relatives and friends are invite to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Benjamin Wessel Trust c/o Catherine Henry at Team Benjamin, 1508 Madison St. Metairie, LA 70001.
